What are the Umbraco Awards?

The Umbraco Awards is the annual recognition and celebration of the best of the best Umbraco solutions and packages being created by agencies and people around the world.

Ultimately - we want to celebrate the people who use their skills and Umbraco to change their clients' and fellow Umbraco developers' lives for the better.

As part of the submission process, we encourage all entries to reflect on how sustainability has been incorporated into the solution, where applicable.

Excitingly, submissions for this 2025 awards are open from February 4th till April 1st. Showcase your innovative projects and help us celebrate the outstanding achievements of the Umbraco community!

Note: Solutions must be built using either Umbraco CMS, Umbraco Cloud, or Umbraco Heartcore to be viable candidates for an Umbraco Award.

The 2025 Umbraco Award Categories

You may submit a solution to one category only. If you submit a solution to multiple categories, only the first category will be considered. Therefore, you should think carefully about which category you choose.

Umbraco Award for Best Cloud Solution

This is the category to showcase your best Umbraco Cloud solutions. If you've created a remarkable project on Umbraco Cloud, demonstrate it here. The jury is particularly interested in witnessing Cloud-specific features in action, such as the CI/CD flow, baseline setups, or similar.

Umbraco Award for Best Editing Experience

A positive editing experience leads to happier end-users. Demonstrate how you've seamlessly connected the front- and backend, making it elegant and intuitive for the editor. Showcase your backoffice setup and explain why editors love what you've created.

Best Partner Solution

Umbraco Partners represent the most skilled and highly trained Umbraco developers, and we anticipate seeing remarkable achievements from each of them. We will select the best Partner solution of 2025 from among all submissions.

2024 winner: DEPT® for Fastned’s cutting-edge website matches its ambitions

Umbraco Jury's Choice Award

All submissions to the Umbraco Awards are automatically entered into this category; however, the jury reserves the right to choose outside of these entries. The secret jury selects the solution that, in their opinion, best utilizes the full potential of Umbraco and sets an example of just how much value can be extracted from the platform.

Best Umbraco Commerce solution

Showcase how you've transformed an ordinary commerce use case into an extraordinary shopping experience! This award recognizes outstanding implementations of Umbraco Commerce.

Whether it involves creating a perfect synergy between content, products, and commerce, extending Umbraco Commerce to enhance the store owner or customer experience, or any other demonstration illustrating the diverse ways of building unique commerce projects with Umbraco Commerce.

Note: Submissions must be built using Umbraco Commerce to be viable for this award.

Most Innovative Solution

Innovation is not just about new technology, but also about rethinking how technology is applied to create new value and solve different challenges. This category pays tribute to those who make bold choices to drive progress and create change with their solutions. This is the primary focus of the jury when evaluating submissions in this category.

Furthermore, the jury emphasizes market understanding, understanding of user needs, and a plan for a sustainable rollout and growth curve, rather than just the results achieved at the time of assessment. We want to see your innovative solutions, insights, creativity, and courage.

We're looking for designs that not only captivate us visually but also adhere to web standards and accessibility. Where stunning design seamlessly aligns with clean markup.

Nominate your favourite package of all time, and explain to us why it deserves to win this prestigious award.

Submitted packages must be published on the Umbraco Marketplace and support at least Umbraco 10 or newer.
