The uBuddy Program - A Warm, Welcome Wagon for Codegarden First-Timers

Attending Codegarden for the first time can be an overwhelming experience. Between the international travel, the packed agenda, and the famously festive community, it can be a lot to take in. That’s where the uBuddy Program comes in.

uBuddy is our way of helping you feel connected, clued-in, and confident before your first proverbial Codegarden rodeo even begins. If you mark yourself as a first-timer when registering, you’ll be invited to a friendly pre-event Zoom session where we’ll talk through all of the essentials such as how to get around, what to expect, and a few delightful bits of Codegarden lore to help you orient yourself and and hit the ground running.

But that’s not all. During the session, you’ll also be matched up with a small group of fellow first-timers and an experienced Codegardener who can help answer questions, share tips, and even grab a coffee with you once you’re there onsite. It’s a fun way to make your first Codegarden experience feel a little cozier and a whole lot more welcoming.

Just check the first-timer box when you register, and we’ll take care of the rest.
